Pad ka pao
Ingredients for 4 meals:
500 g of minced beef or chicken meat
3 tablespoons of corn oil
5 chopped garlic cloves
3-4 cm chopped ginger root
2 fresh chili peppers, red and green, chopped
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of fish sauce or soy sauce
1 tablespoon of lime or lemon juice
2 cups mix of chopped coriander, parsley and mint
For submission:
4 cups of cooked white rice
4 fried eggs
Preparation:
Heat up a wok pan with oil, garlic, ginger and chili on high heat and cook until
the spices start emitting a scent. Add the meat and mix it with a wooden spoon.
Add in sugar and stir. Add the fish sauce and stir for about 2 minutes, until the
meat absorbs all of the liquid. Take off the fire, add in herbs and stir. Divide the
meat into 4 plates with rice. Fry 4 eggs on a small, separate pen, place one on
each plate, and serve immediately!
